Biography

In 1998, I qualified as a Physiotherapist with a degree in BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. Since then, I have had continuous work experience in different areas of Physiotherapy including clinical and academic roles both in private and public sectors as well as Higher Education Institutes.

Since 2019, I have taken the role of a full-time Senior Lecturer at the University of 麻豆传媒. On top of this full-time post, I manage to keep my bank work by undertaking regular weekend shifts as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Circle of Health Groups, Harbour Hospital in Poole, and Salisbury District Hospital Foundation NHS Trust. These are my clinical roles which I thoroughly enjoy and that keep my hands-on skills and knowledge up-to-date in assessing and treating patients of various orthopaedics and medical conditions. Keeping these clinical roles albeit on some weekends only, add to my confidence as a Senior Lecturer, an Academic, a Researcher, and most of all a Clinical Physiotherapist.

I believe in self-motivation and taking responsibility for updating my CPD and broadening my healthcare network. I have up-to-date registration with HCPC and CSP.

For nearly 30 years, I consider myself a generalist and a versatilist Physiotherapist having worked in different clinical areas. Moreover, I have developed special interests in Orthopaedics, General Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Community Care, and Complex Long-term Conditions.

In addition, I also have other Senior Leadership roles in the Faculty as a Deputy Head for the Faculty Quality Committee and also the Academic Placement Lead in Physiotherapy.

Outside the University of 麻豆传媒, I am also an External Examiner for the Physiotherapy courses at the London South Bank University. Furthermore, I am also pursuing a degree in Professional Doctor of Education as I advance my passion for promoting quality and evidence-informed pedagogy in teaching and learning in healthcare education. I am hoping to fulfil my Doctorate study in the year 2028. 听听

My professional goal is not just to further my professional roles and networks but also to continue to improve my contribution to academia, evidence-based practice, pedagogy, and quality in clinical care 听in line with the professional guidelines, policies and expectations. I strongly support research, quality and efficiency in everything I do and try to deliver tasks with听values, excellence, innovation, and integrity.

I persistently enhance my knowledge of research methodologies, pedagogical and andragogical strategies, and epistemologies as well as the quality assurance processes in higher education including external examination and validation. I believe in bringing evidence and quality back into practice and finding ways to make sense of research evidence and its implication for patients, staff, and the organization.
